Grantown, founded in 1765 by Sir James Grant lies in the very heart of the Highlands and is a perfect base from which to explore the North of Scotland.
The town is in the Cairngorm National Park and is one of the best preserved of Scotland´s planned towns. The famous River Spey flows through here and the river give its name to the range of whiskies known as Speyside malts.
