Our apartment is located in the centre of Grantown-on-Spey next to the shops, restaurants and bars making it a perfect base to explore the local area.
Grantown is known as the Gateway to the Whisky Trail but apart from Whisky there is a lot more to offer.
The town is surrounded by ancient woodland and you can explore the Anagach Woods, which cover nearly 1000 acres, on foot or bicycle.
The woods are 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
Fishing is also popular and the Spey is known as one of the bast in Scotland with both Trout and Salmon fishing possible in the local assication waters.
In winter skiing is possible and we are exactly half way between both The Lecht and Cairngorm ski areas.
The local Anagach Woods have many ancient pine trees and a diverse range of wild plants and bird life, it is possible to see (depending on the season) Capercaillie, Red Squirrel, Pine Martins, Crested Tits and Crossbills, to name a few
The town itself has a variety of restaurants and cafes to keep you fed and if you don“t want to make your own breakfast then a bakers is directly below our flat.
On the opposite side of The Square to us is a supermarket and a bicycle hire shop.
