Grantown Museum & Visitor Centre
Grantown Museum is located close to the apartment and has a permanent exhibition which details tells the stories of Grantown from its founding in 1775 by the “Good Sir James” through the Scottish enlightenment, industry and inventions to a Victorian favourite retreat.
There are also temporary exhibition which change, check out the museums site to see the latest.
A visitor information centre is located in the museum where you can find tourist information on the area
Grantown East Highland Heritgage & Cultural Centre
Based at the original Grantown East railway station this centre has interactive information about the Speyside Railway Line, kilt making and more.
There is a restaurant based in a restored railway carriage and a mini railway for you to ride on
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Located close to Grantown in the village of Carrbridge the park is a great day out with Fun, Discovery And Adventure for the whole family.
The park has many attractions and things to do including a climbing wall, highwire course, maze, raft ride, rollercoaster and more.
Open all year but some attractions are closed in the Winter.
Highland Wildlife Park
A 105 hectare Safari Park and Zoo located just outside Kingussie.
Visitors experience Scottish wildlife past and present.
On show are a variety of animals found in present-day Scotland, animals that were once present, hundreds, even thousands of years ago, and mountainous regions all over the globe.
Visitors drive around the Main Reserve in their cars and then move on to a walk-round area.
Ballindalloch Castle & Gardens
Ballindalloch Castle is one of the finest surviving examples of a Scottish Baronial Castle
The beautifully maintained walled and rock gardens are spectacular when in full bloom and offer a tranquil haven during the summer months.
There is also a tea room and a shop.
Snow Roads
90 Miles of dramatic roads through landscapes, carved by granite and ice, as the SnowRoads wind from the picturesque market town of Blairgowrie through to the highland village of Grantown-on-Spey.
Enjoy something new at every turn as you traverse the highest public roads in Britain and spot a curious glimpse of snow on the hill tops almost all year round.
